Sicilian DES Registry: prospective in-hospital and 9-month clinical and angiographic follow-up in selected high restenosis risk patients.

2008

OBJECTIVE: This is a multicentre, open label, prospective non-randomized registry, with 9-month angiographic follow-up, conducted to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of drug-eluting stents (DES) when used in high restenosis risk patients from the real world. METHODS: From June 2004 to February 2005, a total of 1622 consecutive patients were enrolled to the Sicilian DES Registry, according to specific inclusion criteria. Both paclitaxel-eluting and sirolimus-eluting stents were used. The analysis was performed on 1472 patients because 150 patients were excluded from the study. The primary endpoint was to evaluate the rate of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) within 9 months after DES …

Predictors of scaffold failure and impact of optimized scaffold implantation technique on outcome: Results from the German-Austrian ABSORB RegIstRy.

2021

Aims We aimed to investigate predictors of scaffold failure and the potential impact of an optimized scaffold implantation technique by means of a learning curve on long-term clinical outcome after bioresorbable scaffold (BRS) implantation and to evaluate predictors of scaffold failure. Methods and results A total of 3326 patients were included in this prospective, observational, multi-center study (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02066623) of consecutive patients undergoing BRS implantation between November 2013 and January 2016. The 3144 patients completed follow-up after 24 months, 3265 patients were eligible for time-to-event-analysis. Clinical endpoints were major adverse cardiac events-a compos…

Risk Burden of Coronary Perforation in Chronic Total Occlusion Recanalization: Latin American CTO Registry Analysis

2022

Background Coronary perforation is a life‐threatening complication of acute percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusions (CTO), but data on midterm outcomes are limited. Methods and Results Data from LATAM (Latin American)‐CTO Registry (57 centers; 9 countries) were analyzed. We assessed the risk of 30‐day, 1‐year major adverse cardiac events of coronary perforation using time‐to‐event and weighted composite end point analysis having CTO PCI without perforation as comparators. Additionally, we studied the independent predictors of perforation in these patients. Of 2054 patients who underwent CTO PCI between 2015 and 2018, the median Multicenter CTO Registry in Japa…
